Introduction of Iwate plant energy-saving approach
The Iwate plant (Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture) was constructed surrounded by untouched natural foliage, so we have operated as a manufacturing plant that considers the nature of the surrounding area since day one of operation.
Since infrastructures in the region were not built sufficiently, we implicated use of private power generation at an early stage. We introduced cogeneration system using solar power and low revolution diesel-power in July 2001.
The Iwate plant located in region richly endowed with nature, achieves reduction in carbon-dioxide emissions by the plant from the early stages, and continues to work positively for environment-friendly production.
